Stone Properties: Chrysoprase is a green Chalcedony, related to Quartz. It is one of the rarest and valued of the Chalcedonies family. Nickel deposits offer this stone its stunning green hue. Chrysoprase is linked to the heart chakra and evokes strong healing energy, allowing you to remain centered in the heart allowing for growth, compassion, and forgiveness. Carnelian also falls in the Quartz family as an orange-colored type of Chalcedony. Varying in color from pale orange to deep red-orange, this bold-colored stone is often linked with leadership and courage. Often used in mid-Western jewelry, Spiny Oyster is also known to promote strength and courage.

Stone Hardness: Chrysoprase and Carnelian are both members of the Quartz family and feature a hardness of 7 on the Mohs hardness scale.
